One week before: choose your connection

Check the countries on your itinerary, the layovers, and the travel days. Check your operator’s roaming and compare the total cost with an eSIM. Verify the exact model, its compatibility, and the carrier lock before paying for another plan.

Before leaving: save the important things

Download maps, bookings, and addresses. Save the installation instructions and support contact in an accessible offline location. Protect the phone with an access code and keep activation codes private. Do not rely on a single device for all travel documents.

When installing: check when it starts

Read when your plan becomes valid and its activation deadline. Install over Wi-Fi when the instructions say to. Clearly identify the travel line so you do not confuse it with your usual line, and check which line will be used for data and calls.

Upon arrival: do a small test

Check that you are in an included destination, select the data line, and follow the provider’s settings. Open a map or send a message before leaving the wifi connection. If it fails, check the settings and contact support; do not repeat the purchase or delete the profile on impulse.

Activate it within 90 days of purchase

Install and activate your eSIM before travelling, using Wi-Fi and following your order instructions. You have up to 90 days from purchase to activate your eSIM. Your 28 days of service begin with the first use of data. If your home country is included and you use data there, the plan may start before your trip. The activation window does not add days of service.

Sources and checks

Check your operator’s conditions and your model’s documentation. References: Apple: eSIM on trips and European Union: roaming. The plan data come from Mundi eSIM's catalog and must be confirmed before contracting.
