Confirm that the plan allows it
Your phone’s hotspot capability does not mean every plan allows it. Check the plan’s tethering terms and any specific limits. Mundi eSIM’s catalogue provides for internet sharing, subject to each plan’s final conditions.
Secure your hotspot
Use a password you have not shared before and connect only the devices you need. Turn off the hotspot when finished. Do not publish the eSIM QR for someone else to install: sharing Wi-Fi and sharing an eSIM profile are different things.
Control laptop and battery
Before connecting the computer, pause cloud backups, updates, and large downloads. Check usage from your phone and bring a power bank if you are going to use it for several hours. The hotspot drains battery and can increase the device’s temperature.
Prepare a backup connection for work
A mobile connection depends on coverage and congestion. For important meetings, identify a backup connection and save any material you may need offline. Do not plan a working day solely around a generic promise of 4G or 5G.
Sources and checks
Check your operator’s conditions and your model’s documentation. References: Apple: eSIM on trips and European Union: roaming. The plan data come from Mundi eSIM's catalog and must be confirmed before contracting.
