What a data-only eSIM includes
You can browse, use maps and internet apps within the plan’s coverage, duration and limits. A profile’s technical identifier does not mean it includes a number usable for calls or messages. Always check the product details; other plans on the market may include voice and SMS.
WhatsApp and internet calls
WhatsApp calls and calls through other apps use the internet connection and consume data. Adding an eSIM does not require changing your account’s number. Some apps may depend on local networks or restrictions, so access to every app in every country is not guaranteed.
Your usual line keeps its own terms
If you keep your usual SIM active, check which line the phone uses for calls. Ordinary calls, SMS, call forwarding and voicemail can have prices separate from data. Selecting the eSIM for internet does not change your main line’s contract. Check those conditions before leaving.
